By now, you’ve most likely seen the new Curren Caples commercial promoting his first-ever signature Vans shoe—the “Curren”—which was a masterpiece in itself. Epic cameos, beautifully shot, it felt like a dreamy scene out of a movie more than an ad.
Around the same time, Vans shared the official sneak peak of the kicks in a sleek, black colorway, but more shops across the country are beginning to share a few other color options as well. My personal favs? These red bangers right here:

Like many skateshops across the country, our friends at Bluetile recently teased a few other colorways that will be hitting shoe walls Thursday, May 15th. The grey ones with the dark grey (or is the black?) sole? Also very dope. It’s no surprise Curren’s first signature Vans shoe is as stylish as his skating. I’d say these were worth the wait. I was sort of surprised when I realized this was Curren’s first official signature Vans shoe. He didn’t have one already? But again, it was certainly worth the wait, and if anyone deserves it, it’s Curren.
The dude has been a powerhouse since he was pint-sized and is bound to go down in skateboarding as one of the best. His talent, style and grit are undeniable. He’s been part of the Vans family forever, too. So, yeah. Super well-deserved!
Anyways, May 15th is the drop day. Hit your local and swoop up your favorite color before they’re gone. Yeah, Curren!
