As I covered in my review of the machine, the Merach offers true treadmill-like durability. However, that sturdy constructions comes at the cost of easy storage.

As someone who’s logged thousands of miles training for marathons, but who also works from home, I know the importance of active recovery during the day. Weather, safety concerns, or simple time constraints can make outdoor recovery walks challenging—that’s where the Merach W50 shines. Here’s what sets it apart:

• Treadmill-quality incline: The 12% auto incline feature is by far the most notable aspect here. Most walking pads offer minimal or no incline, but the W50’s significant grade allows for hill training. With the trendiness of walking-based workouts, this high grade of incline is a serious selling point. Personally, I use this feature for active recovery hill walks and to build lower leg strength without the impact stress of running.

• Impressive weight capacity: I appreciate that this walking pad can handle serious use. The robust construction feels stable even during brisk walks or when transitioning between different incline levels.

• Surprisingly quiet operation: Living in an apartment, noise is always a major concern. The W50 operates quietly enough that I can use it for early morning recovery walks without disturbing neighbors. The motor runs smoothly even at higher inclines, which isn’t always the case with budget walking pads.

While I’m a fan of the W50, it’s not perfect for everyone. The most significant limitation is its non-foldable design. Unlike compact walking pads that slide under beds or into closets, the W50 requires dedicated floor space. If you do have the space and are serious about incorporating walking into your routine, the Merach W50 at this Prime Day price is a great deal.

Looking for something else? Retailers like Walmart, Best Buy, and Home Depot have Prime Day competition sales that are especially useful if you don’t have Amazon Prime.

• Walmart’s Prime Day competition sale begins at midnight on July 8 and will include deals up to 50% off. It’s an especially good option if you have Walmart+. 

• Best Buy’s Prime Day competition sale, “Black Friday in July,” runs through Sunday, July 13 and has some of the best tech sales online. It’s an especially good option if you’re a My Best Buy “Plus” or “Total” member.

• Home Depot extended its 4th of July sale through at least July 9, competing with some amazing deals of its own. It’s an especially good option if you’re looking for power tools, appliances, or outdoor equipment.
