Vans recently tapped Cocona Hiraki, Efron Danzig, Tania Cruz, and Karina Rozunko to each customize the iconic Premium Old Skool silhouette in their own unique way as part of the “New Future” collection. Cocona’s design dropped yesterday, July 17, and it certainly has people talking.
Cocona has been one of our favs for a while and her progression over the last few years speaks for itself. This project is a big deal and each of these talented rippers deserves their shine. I’ll admit—these might not be for everyone, but for those who can rock them, you’re stoked. Total conversation starters, at the very least. Get a closer look below.

With Cocona Hiraki setting the tone, I’d say the “New Future” collection is off to a rad start. Again, these aren’t for everyone, but I can respect the fact that Cocona went unapologetically all in on these.
