Blue Jays fans are holding onto hope for a comeback by the team after a disappointing 10-3 loss against the Seattle Mariners on Monday.

Cheers of “let’s go Blue Jays” and “Jays in seven” could be heard amongst the crowd walking out of Rogers Centre Monday night, as fans spoke of feeling nervous, yet confident, for the games ahead.

The Mariners lead the American League Championship Series 2-0 in a best-of-seven round for a spot in the World Series.

The Blue Jays will face off against the Mariners on Wednesday for Game 3 in Seattle.

Fans of all ages outside Rogers Centre were critical of manager John Schneider’s bullpen decisions on Monday, with some saying rookie pitcher Trey Yesavage should’ve been kept in longer.

Fan Caleb Grant-Lambert said Yesavage had the “situation under control” in the top of the fifth inning, despite letting through a three-run homer by Mariners’ Julio Rodriguez.

He said Schneider should’ve subbed in Louis Varland instead closer to the game’s end.

“It was an interesting game overall, hopefully they can get some momentum in Seattle,” he said.

Grant-Lambert said he hopes west coast Blue Jays fans will show up to support the team in Seattle.

Another fan, Todd Stephens, agrees Yesavage should’ve been kept longer in the game, but is hopeful to see results from seasoned pitcher Shane Bieber in Seattle.

He said there’s still hope in the series, as long as “bats come alive” next game.

The game got off to a good start, said fan Scott Sangster, only for Blue Jays’ bats to go cold with each inning.

“We needed to get some hits in there. Let’s go! Three games in Seattle, I feel like we’re going to come back here,” he said.

The game on Monday was a much-needed “wake up call” for the team, said fan Andrew Smith.

He predicts “the offense will come alive” to win two out of the three upcoming away games in Seattle, tie-up the series in Game 6 in Toronto and take the series win in Game 7.

On social media, fans weren’t as optimistic with some saying the team was missing some of its core players – and that the Mariners are a better team overall.

<a href=”https://twitter.com/hashtag/BlueJays?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw”>#BlueJays</a> fans should not be surprised. We are without two of our top three hitters and two of our top three starting pitchers. Plus, the <a href=”https://twitter.com/hashtag/Mariners?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw”>#Mariners</a> are simply a better team than the Blue Jays. A miracle could happen, but not likely. <a href=”https://twitter.com/thedave2006?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw”>@thedave2006</a>

But amongst the disappointment, New York Yankees fans had a field day celebrating the Blue Jays’ back to back losses.

Some fans referenced a viral Fox News post-interview moment by Vladimir Guerrero Jr. after winning the American League Division Series against New York.

But in spite of the cold bats and back to back losses, some fans online are ready to move on and hopefully win big at the next few games in Seattle.
