Aave V4 is now live on another network, this time Circle’s newly launched Arc blockchain.
Aave Labs confirmed that the Arc deployment has been activated and is fully operational, with USDC, EURC, cirBTC and WETH available from launch.
It is an interesting fit.
Arc is designed around institutional finance, stablecoins and tokenized assets, while Aave V4 has been rebuilt around a more flexible hub-and-spoke liquidity architecture.
Putting the two together gives Aave a lending market positioned directly inside Circle’s institutional blockchain ecosystem.
One Hub, Multiple Lending Markets
The deployment uses one Core Liquidity Hub.
Different spokes then draw liquidity from that shared pool for different borrowing and collateral use cases.
The initial configuration includes a general Main Spoke and a Forex Spoke built around stablecoin borrowing.
USDC, EURC, cirBTC and WETH all sit inside the launch configuration, although the exact collateral treatment differs between markets.
This is one of the defining changes in Aave V4.
Instead of every lending market maintaining an entirely separate liquidity pool, hubs can serve multiple spokes.
That is designed to reduce fragmentation while still allowing risk parameters to differ between use cases.
Arc Makes The Institutional Angle Obvious
Circle built Arc with stablecoin settlement and financial applications in mind, so Aave’s choice of launch assets is hardly surprising.
USDC and EURC are central to Circle’s ecosystem.
cirBTC gives the market Bitcoin exposure, while WETH adds Ethereum collateral.
Aave’s governance proposal also described plans for conservative caps during the early stage of the market, reflecting the fact that liquidity on a new blockchain can take time to develop.
The market went live after the Protocol Security Council lifted a temporary deployment halt, according to an Aave Labs update posted September 16.
That means this is no longer just a governance proposal.
Users can now access the market through Aave’s interface.
The bigger question is whether institutional and stablecoin liquidity actually follows.
Aave has the infrastructure in place. Arc now has to give users a reason to put meaningful capital through it.
