The Google Pixel Watch 2 is available for $201.18 during Prime Day—a solid 20% discount from its original retail price of $249.99. While this smartwatch may no longer be Google’s flagship wearable, this price cut makes it a strong option for an affordable, well-rounded smartwatch. The watch runs on Google’s Wear OS, so you’ll be tightly connected to all your Android apps and features.

With this second-gen model, Google cleaned up a lot of from its original Pixel Watch. Most notably, the Pixel Watch 2 leans harder into Fitbit’s strengths: Daily health tracking, fitness insights, and wellness alerts come baked in. You’ll need a Fitbit Premium subscription ($9.99/month) to unlock all the insights like heart rate tracking, blood oxygen levels, and a stress sensor. Without that subscription, you’re still getting basic tracking, but not the full reports and coaching.

At 41mm, the Pixel Watch 2 sits light on the wrist, making it easy to forget you’re wearing it during long days at the office or extended workout sessions. This compact design particularly appeals to users who find larger smartwatches cumbersome or overwhelming.

Plus, the always-on AMOLED display remains one of the device’s standout features. The screen stays visible even in bright sunlight, meaning you can check notifications, time, and fitness metrics without hunting for shade or awkwardly angling your wrist.

At today’s discounted price, the Pixel Watch 2 is a strong alternative to options like the Galaxy Watch 6. The Pixel 2 excels in the areas that matter: comfortable wear and comprehensive fitness tracking. And for anyone deeply invested in Google’s ecosystem, these advantages could outweigh the appeal of more feature-rich but less integrated alternatives. Looking for something else? Retailers like Walmart, Best Buy, and Home Depot have Prime Day competition sales that are especially useful if you don’t have Amazon Prime.

• Home Depot extended its 4th of July sale through at least July 9, competing with some amazing deals of its own. It’s an especially good option if you’re looking for power tools, appliances, or outdoor equipment.
