Alameda originally backed Anysphere with $200,000 for roughly 5% of the company. Today, SpaceX has secured an option to acquire Cursor for $60 billion later this year or pay $10 billion for their partnership, as it pushes into AI coding tools ahead of a potential IPO. That same stake could now be worth billions based on Cursor’s soaring valuation.
