WestJet says it has signed a code-share partnership with Qatar Airways that will make it easier to travel to Doha.
Under the agreement, WestJet will start by placing its airline code on Qatar Airways’ non-stop flights to Doha from Toronto and Montreal.
Passengers travelling on code-share itineraries will benefit from co-ordinated connections, the ability to earn WestJet loyalty rewards on their full trip and through-checked baggage.
Qatar Airways will place its code on select WestJet-operated flights from Toronto and Montreal.
The agreement will allow Qatar Airways passengers to connect to 11 Canadian destinations, including Vancouver, Calgary, Edmonton, Halifax, St. John’s and Winnipeg.
WestJet says it plans to place its code on select destinations beyond Doha as part of a future phase.
